The 2025 edition of the KGL Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship will take place from Thursday, September 19 to Saturday, September 28, 2025. The prestigious youth tournament will bring together U17 colts teams from all 10 football regions across the country.
Sponsored by the KGL Foundation, the competition forms a central part of the GFA’s youth development strategy and provides a national platform for identifying and nurturing top juvenile football talent. The tournament has become one of the most anticipated events on the colts football calendar, offering young players the chance to shine on a national stage.
Each Regional Football Association (RFA) will present a team made up of the best U17 players selected from its district and zonal colts competitions. These regional teams will battle for supremacy and national recognition, with scouts, coaches, and technical directors expected to attend in search of the country’s next football stars.
The championship will be played at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence. It will feature group stage matches leading to knockout rounds, culminating in a grand finale to determine the 2025 national champions.
The GFA, in partnership with the KGL Foundation, remains committed to giving “Power to the Youth” through structured competition, quality coaching, and exposure. The Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship continues to serve as a vital link between grassroots football and Ghana’s national youth team pathway.
