World Cup Legacy Project: ExCo Reviews Proposals for 40-Bed Facility at Prampram

-

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken a significant step forward in its World Cup Legacy Project as the Association continues with plans to construct a 40-bed accommodation facility at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

At its recent meeting, the Executive Council received and reviewed proposals from consultants as the Association prepares to enter the next phase of this transformative infrastructure project.

The hotel project will be funded with proceeds from Ghana’s participation in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, reflecting the Association’s commitment to reinvesting in long-term assets that benefit the national teams and support the broader football ecosystem.

The facility will include 40 rooms for accommodation and will be located within the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence. It is designed to provide residential, training, and retreat accommodation for all national teams, from the U-17 level to the Black Stars and Black Queens.

Once completed, the facility is expected to serve as a dedicated home for all national teams during local training camps and assignments, thus enhancing the long-term sustainability and operational efficiency of national team programs. The facility also has the potential to generate commercial revenue through hospitality services for external teams, events, and conferences.

The leadership of the Association remains committed to building a legacy of infrastructure, professionalism, and self-sufficiency that reflects the pride, potential, and pedigree of Ghana football.
