Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, has stated that the ministry will focus on constructing roads that deliver a broad national impact rather than attempting to provide tarred roads to every community.
He noted that while every community deserves improved infrastructure, priority must be given to roads that serve critical economic and social functions.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Thursday, Mr Suhuyini explained that under the current NDC administration, emphasis will be placed on strategic corridors such as the Western Corridor in northern Ghana, the Eastern Corridor, and major entry routes into the national capital, Accra.
The Deputy Minister added that although community roads remain important, limited resources require a more targeted approach to maximise impact and ensure value for money in the road sector.
