Veteran Ghanaian broadcaster and public figure Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known as KKD, has opened up about the personal advice that influenced his decision to marry at a young age.
Speaking about his life choices, KKD revealed that a conversation with his uncle played a major role in shaping how he viewed marriage. According to him, his uncle advised him not to delay settling down, warning that waiting too long could complicate relationships later in life.
He explained that at the time, he was not financially stable, but people were already showing interest in him. His uncle reportedly told him that as he became more successful, the attention from women would increase, and that postponing marriage might lead to missed opportunities for finding a life partner.
KKD said that after reflecting on the advice, he felt there was truth in it, which eventually influenced his decision to marry earlier than he might have otherwise planned. His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions online.
While some people agree with his uncle’s perspective, others argue that marriage should depend on personal readiness rather than age or timing.
The conversation continues to generate debate about relationships, success, and the right time to settle down.
