Crystal Heights International School has celebrated its 7th Speech and Prize-Giving Day with the graduation of over 200 pupils, spanning Kindergarten, Primary, Junior High, and international studies.
The ceremony, held at the school’s Amasaman Shikpontele campus in the Ga South Municipality, was themed “Innovators of Tomorrow: Rising with Purpose and Possibility.”
Delivering the keynote address, Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Dean of the School of Engineering Sciences at the University of Ghana and founding Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, commended parents, guardians, and educators for their unwavering support.
She emphasised the transformative role of innovation in today’s world, urging graduates to nurture curiosity, remain observant, and commit to solving problems in their communities.
Drawing inspiration from historical figures such as Alexander Fleming, Professor Kaufmann highlighted key pillars of innovation—curiosity, knowledge, persistence, and collaboration. “Innovation sometimes finds you,” she told the graduates, “so be bold, ask questions, and analyse problems rather than ignore them.” She encouraged the young graduands not to be discouraged by what they do not yet understand, but instead to ground their aspirations in purpose and clarity.
In his welcome address, the school’s Director, Mr Emmanuel Dadzie Entsie, reflected on the school’s journey since its establishment in 2014. “Crystal Heights has grown from a single campus to a vibrant community of learners, thinkers, and doers,” he said. He cited investments in modern laboratories—spanning Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Robotics—as pivotal in transforming theoretical knowledge into practical exploration.
Mr Entsie praised the integration of virtual classrooms and interactive learning platforms, which he described as a “bridge to broader heights” and essential tools in preparing students for the demands of a rapidly evolving world. He also announced a strategic partnership with the Ga West Municipal Education Directorate aimed at advancing STEM education across the municipality.
This year’s graduation ceremony was marked by an impressive display of cultural performances, including choreography, poetry, and a talk show. Pupils from the digital department showcased their innovative projects, reaffirming the school’s commitment to developing the problem-solvers and trailblazers of tomorrow.
Crystal Heights International School continues to position itself as a beacon of holistic and forward-thinking education in the Ga South Municipality, nurturing young minds with the tools and mindset to create with purpose and impact.
