Princess Chineke Opens Up on Why Joining the US Army Changed Her Life

Former Nollywood actress and beauty queen Princess Chineke is encouraging others to consider joining the United States Army, saying the experience has completely transformed the way she sees life.

The actress, who enlisted in the US Army in 2024, recently shared a video on Instagram with a simple message to her followers: “Good morning my neighbor, I would like more neighbors.

Join the US Army and thank me later.”Princess has often spoken about how military life has shaped her outlook. In another recent post, she reflected on spending days in the forest during military missions, explaining that the experience taught her to appreciate life’s simplest blessings.

She said living in such conditions made her grateful for everyday comforts like having a roof over her head, clean air, safe drinking water, warm meals, a comfortable bed, and the joy of returning home safely.

According to her, every mission serves as a reminder that gratitude is about appreciating what you already have rather than focusing on what you lack.Princess Chineke’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Originally from Imo State and raised in Enugu State, she studied Computer Science at the University of Benin, where she won the Miss UNIBEN beauty pageant.

Her victory opened the door to a successful career in modelling and acting.As a model, she worked with several major brands and represented her state at the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant. She later built a successful acting career, appearing in television series and films including Battleground, Forever in Me, Last Flight to Abuja, Super Story, Papa Ajasco, Tales of Eve, Ada Mbano, and To Love a Sister.

After relocating to the United States to pursue further education and new opportunities, Princess made headlines in late 2024 when she announced she had joined the US Army, becoming the first Nollywood actress known to enlist.Although she has embraced her new career, she has admitted that she occasionally misses her days in Nollywood. Even so, she remains committed to military service and continues to inspire others with the lessons she has learned.Princess is also part of a growing number of Nigerian entertainers choosing careers in the military. Actor Joseph Momodu recently completed his basic military training after joining the US Army, marking another notable transition from the entertainment industry to military service.
