Speaking to Joy Sports after the 2024/25 FA Cup final at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium—which drew fan backlash over its condition—Rahman urged authorities to act urgently.
The POAK left-back highlighted how poor pitch conditions not only affect performance but also tarnish Ghana’s reputation abroad, with teammates at his club mocking the quality of Ghanaian facilities.
While acknowledging the country’s challenging climate, Rahman insisted that consistent maintenance and commitment can significantly improve conditions for all levels of national teams.
