The Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of eight individuals in the tragic military helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday, 6 August.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the association said it was “deeply saddened and shocked by the news of the loss of esteemed statesmen.”
“On behalf of our members and the farming communities across Ghana, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the government of Ghana,” the statement read. “We mourn this loss with the nation and stand in solidarity during this difficult time.”
The association also extended its sympathies to the families of the deceased, adding: “We express our deepest sympathies to the families who have lost their beloved in this tragic incident. May the memories of their loved ones be a blessing and comfort to them.”
The statement acknowledged the impact of the late officials on national development, saying, “The contributions of the departed statesmen to Ghana’s development and progress are appreciated, and their absence will be felt.”
The Concerned Farmers Association concluded by praying for the country’s healing: “We pray for the comfort of those affected and for strength for the nation as we navigate this loss.”
