GOIL PLC has expressed deep sadness at the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians.
Among the victims were Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah; Environment Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed; Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna; NDC Vice-Chairman, Samuel Sarpong; former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and three dedicated military officers: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
According to a statement, these were dedicated men of purpose and indeed of distinction and men whose contributions to national development, peace and security had been self-evident in their leadership.
“Their sudden loss is a profound tragedy that has touched GOIL PLC and every Ghanaian,” it added.
GOIL PLC also expressed its deepest sympathies to the friends and families, the Government of Ghana, and the Ghana Armed Forces for this tragedy during this period of national mourning.
“Our nation grieves for these fallen heroes, and we celebrate their legacy of service, sacrifice, and patriotism.
We stand with all Ghanaians in prayer, seeking comfort and strength for the bereaved families and the institutions affected by this tragic loss.
May their souls rest in perfect peace.
