Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has revealed that all of his major assets, including his cars, houses and businesses, are registered in his mother’s name.
The singer made the announcement during his mother Sandra Kassim’s birthday celebration, where he described her as the person he trusts the most and his only next of kin.
According to Diamond, everything he owns belongs to his mother because of the sacrifices she made to help him become successful. His revelation came just days after news of his breakup with fellow singer Zuchu, leading many fans on social media to speculate that the decision could also be connected to protecting his wealth after the end of a relationship.
The announcement quickly sparked comparisons to Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi, whose name went viral in 2023 after reports claimed many of his assets were registered in his mother’s name during his divorce. Although some of those reports were never officially confirmed, the similarities have once again become a hot topic online.Interestingly, Diamond’s family had joked about the Hakimi comparison years ago.
His mother once referred to him as “Hakimi” in an Instagram post, while his sister joined in by calling them “Hakimi and Mama Hakimi.”Despite the speculation, Diamond explained that registering his assets in his mother’s name is a way of showing appreciation for everything she has done for him throughout his life and career. Some people, however, have questioned whether all of his business empire could legally be registered under another person’s name.
While personal assets such as cars and houses can easily be owned by someone else, large companies often involve shareholders, legal obligations and regulatory requirements, making ownership transfers more complex. As a result, many believe Diamond’s statement was more about expressing his deep trust and gratitude toward his mother than confirming that every part of his business empire has officially been transferred to her.
