The 15th edition of the Ghana Movie Awards took place at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City on 8 June 2026, bringing together top actors, filmmakers, and industry stakeholders for a night celebrating excellence in African cinema.
The film SUKURA emerged as the biggest winner of the night, sweeping multiple categories including the highly coveted Best Picture award.
The production dominated several technical and creative sections, confirming its strong impact at this year’s ceremony.Other standout winners included Amanda Jissih, who won Best Actress for her role in Kone, and Kwadwo Nkansah, who picked up Best Actor for his performance in Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
Virgin of the Throne also had a successful night, earning several major awards in directing, screenplay, sound, and music categories.
