Nigerian Zion gospel singer Lekan Remilekun has shared the emotional story of his father, revealing that he has been missing for the past 26 years.
Speaking during an interview on the Talk to B podcast, Remilekun recalled that his father, Remilekun Amos, disappeared in November 2000 after travelling to Akure for a gospel ministration.
According to the singer, his father never returned from the trip, and despite the passage of more than two decades, the family has never learned what happened to him.Reflecting on the pain of the loss, Remilekun said the situation has become even more emotional as his own children now ask questions about the grandfather they have never met.Quoting a Yoruba proverb, he explained that losing a loved one without knowing their fate can be even more painful than death.
He said the uncertainty has remained a heavy burden on him and his family for the past 26 years.His heartfelt revelation has touched many people, with fans expressing sympathy and hoping that answers may one day emerge about his father’s disappearance.
