Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has spoken about the painful loss of his partner, saying it had a devastating impact on both his personal life and career.
His comments come after recent viral videos showing him in a distressed state sparked renewed concern among fans about his well-being. Days later, another video surfaced showing the actor receiving prayers during a deliverance session at a church in Abuja.
Speaking in a video shared on social media, Hanks revealed that losing the woman he had hoped to marry left him emotionally broken. He explained that she was the mother of his two children and that her death was a tragedy he struggled to overcome.
According to the actor, the grief caused him to withdraw from people and isolate himself for a long time.Reflecting on his recent experience at the church, Hanks said he feels transformed and emotionally lighter after the prayers. He described the experience as a turning point, saying he now feels joyful again after a long period of emotional pain.He added that he had lost his way but believes he has now found healing, comfort, and renewed hope through his faith.
Hanks Anuku had previously revealed in 2023 that he battled depression, admitting that it contributed to his drinking habit.
