The Papyrus Global, a renowned international media organization and convener of the Papyrus Global Local Government Chairmen/Mayors Award & Conference (PAGLOGMA), has formally signed a strategic media partnership with Telentz Media, an entertainment and media organization based in Ghana, ahead of the highly anticipated PAGLOGMA 2026.
The partnership was sealed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 18th February 2026, marking a major milestone in expanding the continental media reach and visibility of PAGLOGMA as one of Africa’s leading platforms for celebrating grassroots governance and leadership excellence.
PAGLOGMA 2026 is scheduled to take place from 29th April to 1st May 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria. The three-day event is expected to host local government chairmen, mayors, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, high commissioners, ambassadors, international development partners, policy experts, panelists, and speakers from more than 20 African countries.
The conference and awards ceremony aim to provide a high-level platform for dialogue on governance, policy innovation, grassroots development, and peer learning, while also recognising outstanding leadership at the local government level across Africa.
Under the terms of the MoU, Telentz Media will serve as an official media partner for PAGLOGMA 2026, delivering comprehensive coverage across all phases of the event. This includes pre-event publicity, live event coverage, and post-event reporting designed to ensure sustained visibility before, during, and after the conference.
In the pre-event phase, Telentz Media will publish official announcements, press releases, social media promotions, and feature stories on selected nominees, speakers, and key stakeholders, helping to build momentum and awareness across Ghana and the wider African media space.
During the event days, Telentz Media will provide on-ground or virtual coverage, conduct interviews with award recipients and dignitaries, produce real-time news reports, and generate multimedia content including photos, videos, and highlights from key sessions.
Following the event, post-event coverage will focus on publishing conference outcomes, award highlights, exclusive interviews, official communiqués, and archival content to preserve the legacy and impact of PAGLOGMA 2026 for long-term reference and engagement.
The partnership also guarantees Telentz Media exclusive media access, including VIP accreditation, priority interviews with top officials and delegates, and enhanced engagement with international participants. In addition, Telentz Media’s brand will receive prominent visibility through placement on official event backdrops, banners, publicity materials, and digital communications.
Speaking on the collaboration, Hon. Chief Doofan Damsa-Justin, Managing Director of The Papyrus Global, expressed optimism about the partnership, describing it as a strategic step toward amplifying the voice of African local governance.
“We are excited to welcome Telentz Media as our official media partner. This collaboration not only strengthens our media reach but also enhances the visibility of our continental awards and conference. Together, we aim to shine a spotlight on outstanding local government leaders and lawmakers shaping Africa’s development,” he said.
On his part, Moses Akarh, Founder and Managing Director of Telentz Media, noted that the partnership aligns with the organization’s broader mission of promoting excellence and impactful leadership across Africa.
“Partnering with The Papyrus Global aligns perfectly with our mission to promote excellence and governance across Africa. We look forward to delivering comprehensive coverage and engaging content that highlights the impact and achievements of leaders across the continent,” Akarh stated.
Both organizations described the agreement as an inaugural collaboration, with plans to explore more structured and long-term partnerships in future editions of PAGLOGMA, aimed at deepening media engagement and continental storytelling.
Highlighting the broader African significance of the event, Hon. Chief Doofan Damsa-Justin further called on media organizations from participating countries to join the initiative and amplify its reach.
“This is not just a Papyrus Global project — it is an African project. We invite media from across the continent to support the celebration of our local government chairmen and showcase to the world the remarkable work Africans are doing at the grassroots,” he added.
The MoU will remain valid until 31st August 2026, covering activities related to both the March and July event cycles, and setting the foundation for what is expected to be a high-impact, continent-wide celebration of leadership, governance, and development.
