Finalists of Big Chef Season IV made a special appearance on 4Kids Paradise on Saturday, showcasing their cooking skills ahead of the much-anticipated finale scheduled for 10th August 2025 at the Joy FM car park.
The four contestants are competing for the ultimate prize of being crowned winner of Big Chef Season Four. During the show, hosted by Kekeli and co-host Cayla, the finalists shared their experiences in the competition.
Serwaa described the journey as “exciting and a bit nerve-wracking” because of the competition’s unpredictability. She recalled being asked to leave the kitchen unexpectedly.
“I was asked to leave the kitchen and later told to come back,” she said. She added that she aspires to be like Laura, a previous contestant who won Star Chef three times, and aims to reach that level.
Bubune described the journey as a “roller-coaster affair” filled with highs and lows, while Monlisa said it had been “exciting and tough as the show moves from one episode to another”. Nichole added that the competition was both tiring and exciting.
When asked what they had gained beyond their cooking skills, Monlisa said she had learnt creativity in cooking, plating, and time management. Serwaa said she had improved her ability to create exceptional dish names, while Bubune also highlighted time management. Nichole noted that her confidence had improved since joining the competition.
The finalists shared their favourite challenges, including the mystery box challenge, baking challenge, using Indomie to make a beverage, and the fortune spread challenge. When asked who they saw as their biggest competitor, Monlisa said “everybody”, while Nichole and Bubune pointed to Serwaa.
The episode concluded with a sandwich challenge, which ended in a tie as both groups impressed the hosts with their culinary skills.
