CARE International in Ghana mourns victims of Adansi Akrofum helicopter crash



CARE International in Ghana has expressed deep sorrow over the helicopter crash near Adansi Akrofum in the Ashanti Region that claimed the lives of eight people, including cabinet ministers, senior government officials, and members of the Ghana Air Force.

In a statement on Friday, the humanitarian organisation extended condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the Government, and the people of Ghana, describing the incident as a “profound loss” to the nation.

“These individuals served the country with commitment and courage, and their passing is not only a loss to their families and colleagues, but to the nation as a whole,” the statement read.

CARE International said it stood in solidarity with the bereaved families and the entire country during this period of mourning, adding that it was praying for strength for all affected to bear the tragedy.

“As an organisation committed to supporting Ghana’s development efforts, we share in your sorrow,” it added. “May they be given eternal rest.”

CARE International in Ghana extends its deepest condolences to the President of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama, the Government and the people of Ghana following the tragic helicopter crash near Adansi Akrofum in the Ashanti Region, which claimed the lives of eight people including cabinet ministers, senior government officials and members of the Ghana Airforce.
