Central Region Successfully Concludes Second Edition of Free Licence D Coaching Course

The second edition of the Free Licence D Coaching Course in the Central Region has come to a successful end. The week-long training program took place at the Robert Mensah Park in Cape Coast, attracting 30 dedicated participants from Division Two, Division Three, and Colts clubs.

Led by GFA Coaching Instructor Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah, with support from experienced RFA instructors Collins Owusu Ansah, Ernest Thompson Quartey, and Dennis Owoahene Acheampong, the course delivered a comprehensive blend of theoretical and practical lessons. Key modules included grassroots coaching principles, youth development strategies, football tactics, injury prevention, and player safety.

Participants were taken through modern coaching techniques tailored to nurturing young football talents across the country. The course aimed at empowering coaches with the foundational tools to positively influence juvenile football in their respective communities.

Addressing attendees during the closing ceremony, CRFA Chairman Robert Otieku Duncan applauded the commitment of the participants and encouraged them to be change-makers at the grassroots level.

He emphasized the importance of youth development as a catalyst for national football progress, describing the Licence D programme as a critical intervention in rebuilding the country’s football structure.

The Free Licence D Coaching Course continues to expand across the country, reinforcing our long-term vision of building a strong technical foundation for Ghana football through the education and empowerment of youth coaches.
