Five-Day FIFA MA Instructors course ends

The five-day FIFA MA Referee Course, organised by the Ghana Football Association(GFA),  under the auspices of FIFA, has successfully ended at the La Tua Villas in Prampram.

The course was conducted by FIFA Referee Technical Instructor Mohammed Ali from Somalia and FIFA Fitness Instructor Houssein Ali Mohammed from Djibouti, working in collaboration with Ghanaian referee educators Alex Kotey and Christine Zigah.

A total of 40 participants took part in the intensive course, which included 21 Technical Instructors and 19 Fitness Instructors.

The sessions were specifically designed to sharpen the participants’ knowledge, instructional delivery skills, and alignment with modern refereeing methodologies and expectations.

Also in attendance were all Futuro III-trained FIFA Technical and Fitness Instructors affiliated with the GFA, making the course a valuable opportunity for peer learning and reinforcement of FIFA’s global refereeing standards.

The training combined theoretical and practical components, with a strong emphasis on integrated instruction, blending technical and physical elements on the field to reflect real-match conditions.

Participants engaged in classroom sessions on laws of the game, match management, and video analysis, alongside physical drills and performance evaluation exercises.
