In our ongoing drive to promote child protection and ethical standards in Ghanaian football, we have delivered a safeguarding and integrity training session to participants of the License D Coaching Course in the Volta Region.
Led by Safeguarding Officer, Obed Tuffour, the session focused on the coach’s duty of care, safe communication practices, and recognizing signs of abuse.
The participants were also sensitized to the risks of player trafficking, especially the deceptive recruitment of young talent under the guise of opportunities abroad.
The training emphasized the importance of the coach as a first responder, the one who interacts directly with young players and must model protective behavior at all times.
