Ghana’s greatest resource is you

New Patriotic Party flagbearer aspirant and former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has delivered a message of encouragement to young people across the country, urging them not to let their circumstances define their future.

In a social media post addressed directly to Ghanaian youth, Dr Adutwum acknowledged the pressures and persistence that shape their daily lives, saying he recognises “the early mornings, the late nights, the dreams that refuse to die.”

He stressed that social or economic background should never be treated as a ceiling on ambition, warning young people against accepting limits imposed by others.

He framed the country’s development challenge around human potential rather than natural wealth, arguing that Ghana’s strength lies in its people.

“Ghana’s greatest resource is not gold or oil, it is you,” he stated, linking national progress to the discipline and preparedness of the younger generation.

Dr Adutwum connected personal growth to collective advancement, noting that when young people rise with skills, discipline and hope, the nation moves forward alongside them.

He encouraged them to remain focused and intentional in their preparation, assuring them that opportunity would meet readiness.

“Your time is coming. Prepare for it,” he concluded, positioning the message as both reassurance and a call to action for young Ghanaians navigating uncertainty while working toward long-term goals.
