The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has rejected what it describes as “false narratives” propagated by a social media personality against the Minister.
According to a press release by the Ministry, the allegations, which paint the Minister as “disrespectful and unprofessional,” are entirely without merit and serve only to mislead the public.
The statement decries the claims as a “blatant mischaracterisation” of the Minister who, it says, has consistently exemplified humility, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of Ghana’s cultural and creative landscape.
“The Minister’s interactions with stakeholders, industry players, and the general public have always been grounded in mutual respect and a sincere desire to elevate Ghana’s rich cultural heritage,” the release states.
“Attempts to distort this record not only discredit the Minister but dishonour the collective efforts of the entire Ministry and the broader creative sector.”

While the statement refrains from naming the social media figure involved, it condemns the individual’s actions as attention-seeking and sensationalist, warning the public against engaging with content creators who, in the Ministry’s view, prioritise virality over truth.
“Falsehoods spread with viral intent may gather temporary noise, but truth always prevails,” the Ministry declared, urging Ghanaians to remain discerning and supportive of its mission to promote tourism, preserve heritage, and empower the creative arts.
The Ministry’s directors called for “an unqualified apology” from the individual responsible for disseminating what they term as “blatant lies” against both the Minister and the Ministry at large.
“We remain committed to transparency and welcome constructive dialogue but we will not tolerate falsehoods that seek to divide and distract,” the Ministry affirmed.
