Power drunk and impulsive – Prince Tsegah reacts to Trump invasion

Media personality Prince Tsegah has criticised US President Donald Trump over recent developments involving Venezuela, describing his conduct as dangerous and destabilising.

Tsegah accused President Trump of acting without restraint. “This man is power drunk and a disgrace to America. He behaves so impulsively that everything about him is offbeat,” he wrote in Facebook post sighted by MyNewsGh.

He welcomed Ghana’s official response to the situation, particularly comments attributed to the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

“I am happy Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa has rubbished the abduction of the Venezuelan President and wife and the attack on the country as a whole,” Tsegah said.

Tsegah warned that any disregard for international law in the current global era should not be tolerated. “In this 21st century, if Trump consciously behaves like there is no rule of law, then the world must rise against him,” he stated.

He also referenced recent actions taken by some Sahelian countries. “I am extremely happy that Mali and Burkina Faso have banned Americans from entering their geographical boundaries, so Americans can stand against their President and tell him to be steady wai,” Tsegah added.

Meanwhile, the Government of Ghana has officially expressed concern over the situation in Venezuela, cautioning against what it described as a return to colonial-era thinking.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana said it was disturbed by remarks attributed to President Trump suggesting that the United States would “run” Venezuela until a transition considered “safe, proper and judicious,” and that American oil companies would be invited to “go in.”

“These declarations are reminiscent of the colonial and imperialist era,” the statement said, warning that such ambitions “should have no place in the post-Second World War era.”

The government cautioned that allowing powerful states to impose political outcomes on other nations undermines global stability. “To allow this is to put the international community at great risk and undermine the sovereignty of every country,” the statement added.
