The International Coaching Federation (ICF) Ghana Chapter has expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the tragic Z-9 Military Helicopter crash.
The sudden incident which occurred in the early hours on Wednesday, August 6, involved;
Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence
Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister for Environment
Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
Dr Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
Mr Samuel Aboagye, Former Parliamentary Candidate for Obuasi East and Deputy NADMO Coordinator
Squadron Leader Peter Bafimi Anala
Flying Officer Twum Ampadu
Sergeant Ernest Addo
The occurrence has left Ghanaians in deep distress.
In an official statement, the ICF Ghana Chapter expressed its sincere empathy, eulogising with the families of the fallen victims.
The letter signed by Scofray Nana Yaw Yeboah, MCC, FInstCM states, “We empathise and mourn with the nation on the terrible manner in which the lives of cabinet ministers, NDC party functionaries and officers from the Ghana Air Forces ended.”

“May comfort be constant, and may we authentically grieve humanely, while finding the courage and compassion to navigate these painful and trying times.”
In response to the disaster, President Mahama has declared three days of national mourning, appointing Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson as acting Defence Minister, and the Lands and Natural Resources Minister as acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology.
