We’re committed to delivering President Mahama’s vision for Ghana’s roads – Alhassan Suhuyini

Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering on President John Mahama’s ambitious plan to transform Ghana’s road infrastructure.

According to Mr Suhuyini, the Ministry is fully aligned with the President’s vision and will work relentlessly to ensure that critical road projects across the country are delivered to standard and on time.

Speaking on Metro TV on Friday, 1 August, the Tamale North MP said the government views improved road infrastructure as fundamental to national development, job creation, and economic revitalisation.

He noted that while the challenges are significant, the Mahama-led administration is determined to turn the tide.

“We won’t let President Mahama down in his quest to revamp Ghana’s road network,” Mr Suhuyini stated.

“The President has made it clear that roads are not just political capital; they are economic lifelines. We are fully committed to making that vision a reality.”

He further indicated that the government has already begun identifying priority projects and is actively mobilising resources to ensure implementation begins promptly.

“Ghanaians will begin to see visible progress in road construction and rehabilitation under President Mahama’s leadership,” Mr Suhuyini assured, urging the public to support the government’s efforts to rebuild trust in the transport sector.
