Senegalese-American superstar Akon has spoken glowingly about the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, describing their collaboration as the proudest moment of his entire career.
In a recent episode of the We Need To Talk podcast, Akon admitted he still felt like “a child” next to Michael Jackson despite being a big star himself at the time.“My photo with Michael Jackson is my most proudest photo,” he said. “I was already a full-blown celebrity when that photo was taken, but I am a child compared to this man. I was so happy because I grew up looking up to him.
He is everybody’s idol.”The 53-year-old singer also showered praise on Nigerians, saying they are “the most intelligent people on the planet” and commending their huge success with Afrobeats music.Akon revealed that he once supported several Nigerian artists, including signing P-Square and getting involved with Wizkid through Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment label.
