Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Thelma Lawson has opened up about why she turned down fellow contestant Rooboy’s romantic advances during the show.
Speaking during the reunion finale aired on Friday night, Thelma said her decision was based on the kind of man she wants around her child, stressing that Rooboy did not fit that standard.She explained that his tattoos, loud personality, and work as a hypeman made her feel he was not the right role model for her son.
Thelma also criticised his communication skills, claiming he struggled with spelling and describing him as too loud for her taste. She added that while they can remain friends, a romantic relationship was off the table.“I don’t want him around my son. He is too loud, and his tattoos are not the lifestyle I want. We can only be friends,” she said.She further claimed that Rooboy was upset about the rejection and later described her as a “bitter person,” although he denied being angry and said he respected her decision.
Rooboy, however, maintained that he genuinely expressed interest in Thelma and said there was a misunderstanding involving another housemate during the show.
