Nigerian singer Magixx has shared his views on finances in relationships, saying he does not support splitting bills between partners.
Speaking during a recent interview, the singer stated that he believes men should take responsibility for covering expenses in both relationships and marriage, regardless of who initiated the romance.
According to Magixx, a man’s role includes handling financial obligations, even in situations where a woman approaches him first and expresses interest in starting a relationship.“I don’t believe in 50/50. I believe a man should pay the bills even if it is the woman who asked him out,” he said.
However, the singer acknowledged that his perspective may be influenced by his current financial position. He admitted that he is uncertain whether he would hold the same opinion if he were not financially successful.
His comments have sparked discussions about modern relationship dynamics, gender roles, and the ongoing debate over whether couples should share financial responsibilities equally or follow more traditional arrangements.
