The My Tasty Naija Food Festival is set to make a bigger return in 2026, expanding beyond London to Manchester after the success of its debut edition last year..
Organisers say the festival will continue its mission of celebrating Nigerian cuisine, culture, and community while connecting people across the diaspora through food and entertainment.
The London edition is scheduled to take place on July 5 at Eutopia Warehouse, while Manchester will host its first-ever edition on July 11 at Nigerian House Manchester.
Festival convener, Abass Tijani, popularly known as DJ Abass, said the event was created to promote Nigerian food and cultural heritage to a wider audience. He added that the long-term vision is to take the festival to more cities across the United Kingdom and eventually to Nigeria and other countries around the world.
According to him, the festival’s online platform already showcases Nigerian restaurants across London and other parts of the UK, helping to spotlight local businesses and culinary talent.This year’s event is expected to attract around 3,000 attendees in London and another 1,500 in Manchester, highlighting the growing popularity of Nigerian food experiences abroad.Guests can look forward to a variety of attractions, including food exhibitions, live performances, cultural displays, networking sessions, and interactive competitions.
The popular My Tasty Naija Junior Chef Competition and Food Competition will also return as part of the festivities.With its expansion into a second city, the festival aims to further strengthen cultural connections and showcase the richness of Nigerian cuisine to an even wider audience.
