Former Deputy General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has admonished Chairman of the Constitution Review Committee, Prof. H. Kwasi Prempeh, to stop speaking on the work he and his team have done on the review of Ghana’s constitution.

He argues that the more he speaks about the work done on the review of the constitution, the more he sounds partisan, adding that he will destroy his own work.

Koku Anyidoho, who made this known in a post shared via X, said the government’s white paper should speak for itself and not the Chairman of the Constitution Review Committee.

He cited Prof Fiadzo silence after chairing the First Constitutional Review Committee as a yardstick for the current Chairman to follow.

His post read “If you don’t keep quiet and continue talking “bla-bla-bla”, you will destroy your own work ooo HKP. You have finished your work; allow the Government’s White Paper to speak for itself. Prof Fiadzo did not speak the way you are speaking when he Chaired the First CRC. The more you speak; the more you will sound like a very partisan politician. Merry Christmas”.

The Constitutional Review Committee last week presented its report to the President of Ghana.

The committee recommended several reforms in the current constitution, and it is expected that the government will work on the recommendations.
