Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has weighed in on the ongoing controversy involving singer Chike and Sandra Onyenucheya, the estranged wife of TV host Frank Edoho.
In a video making rounds online, VeryDarkMan spoke about the temptations that often come with fame and popularity, especially for celebrities who constantly receive attention from both single and married admirers.
According to him, one personal rule he has set for himself is to never get involved with a married woman because of the emotional damage and complications such relationships can create.
The commentator explained that while conversations and friendships between adults are normal, people should still exercise discipline and avoid situations that could destroy homes or spark public scandals.Speaking in Pidgin English, he said fame exposes celebrities to many temptations, but self-control remains important.
He added that although he would not criticize Chike for communicating with Sandra, he would fault him if the rumours about an affair were true.VeryDarkMan said many people underestimate the consequences attached to relationships involving married individuals, stressing that he personally avoids such situations no matter the temptation.
He also reacted to the way some Nigerians appeared to celebrate the controversy online, especially after fans flooded Chike’s comment section with supportive and joking reactions.
According to him, Frank Edoho may have made things worse by bringing parts of the issue into the public space because the situation now appears to be fueling more online drama and speculation.
