The family of late Nollywood star Alexx Ekubo has officially released details of his funeral arrangements following his reported death after battling kidney cancer.
In a heartfelt statement shared through the actor’s social media pages, the Ekubo-Okwaraeke family described Alexx as a loving, compassionate and faith-filled man whose impact on people’s lives will never be forgotten.
According to the family, the overwhelming support, prayers, messages and visits received since his passing have brought them comfort during the difficult period.
They noted that Alexx lived a life filled with warmth, generosity, laughter and deep devotion to both God and the people around him.
The funeral activities will begin with a service of songs scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in Lagos, where family, friends, colleagues and fans are expected to gather to celebrate his life.
A wake keep will later hold in his hometown in Abia State on June 17, followed by the funeral service, interment and reception on June 18.
The family also urged the public to continue praying for Alexx Ekubo’s wife and loved ones as they mourn his loss.
