British television personality Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The 66-year-old shared the news in the latest episodes of his popular farming series, Clarkson’s Farm, explaining that while the cancer is considered aggressive, doctors were able to detect it at an early stage.Ahead of the release of the new episodes, Clarkson hinted that viewers would see a more emotional side of the show than usual.
Known for its lighthearted look at life on his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire, the series takes a serious turn as Clarkson opens up about his health battle.In one of the episodes, he informs farm manager Kaleb Cooper and farming consultant Charlie Ireland about his diagnosis during a discussion about harvest plans, simply telling them, “I’ve got cancer.”
The revelation comes two years after Clarkson underwent a heart procedure, a health scare that prompted him to reassess parts of his lifestyle. At the time, doctors reportedly advised him to slow down and focus more on his well-being.Clarkson first rose to international fame as the outspoken presenter of the motoring show Top Gear before finding renewed success with Clarkson’s Farm, which has attracted millions of viewers worldwide.
