Nollywood actor Jide Kene has joined colleagues and fans in mourning the death of Alex Ekubo, describing the late actor as a humble professional whose impact will continue to inspire many.
In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, Kene celebrated Ekubo’s life and career, saying the actor shared his talent, kindness and passion with his family, friends and fans.
Although he never had the opportunity to work directly with Ekubo, Kene revealed that he followed his career closely and admired his achievements in the entertainment industry.
He wrote that Ekubo inspired many people through his dedication, hard work and the legacy he built during his years in Nollywood.Kene recalled that whenever they crossed paths, Ekubo was always the first to offer a handshake, describing him as a successful but humble person who made others feel welcomed.
The actor praised Ekubo for supporting others and creating opportunities rather than making people feel excluded.
According to Kene, Ekubo was not only a talented entertainer but also a family-oriented man, a gentleman, a professional, a car lover and someone committed to his faith.
He also highlighted Ekubo’s journey from modelling to acting, noting that the late star created his own path and achieved success in both fields.Kene said one of the greatest lessons he learned from Ekubo’s life was his love for God, adding that he believed the actor’s final moments were surrounded by love, grace and mercy.
