Country music star Bailey Zimmerman is facing legal challenges after being accused of causing significant damage to a hotel room in New Mexico.
The 26-year-old singer has reportedly been charged with felony property damage and a misdemeanor related to unpaid services following an incident that allegedly occurred in late May.The situation unfolded on the same day Zimmerman was scheduled to perform in Albuquerque.
However, the show was postponed after the singer announced he was unwell and unable to deliver the performance fans deserved.
According to reports, concerns began during preparations for the event when Zimmerman allegedly appeared intoxicated. Witnesses claimed he stumbled while on stage and later damaged a guitar.
Security personnel also reported disruptive behavior before he was escorted back to his hotel.Hotel management reportedly asked Zimmerman to leave the property, but authorities were eventually contacted after his behavior allegedly became disorderly.
The following morning, staff members discovered extensive damage inside his room. Reports claim the destruction included broken furniture, damaged electronics, stained carpets, a hole in the wall, and missing chairs.
The estimated cost of repairs and replacements exceeded $16,000.In addition to the alleged property damage, the hotel claimed Zimmerman left without settling charges related to alcohol purchases made during his stay.Despite the controversy, the singer has continued performing, including an appearance at CMA Fest earlier this month. He is also expected to continue with upcoming tour and festival dates as scheduled.Neither Zimmerman nor his representatives have publicly addressed the allegations in detail.
