Veteran broadcaster and DJ Trevor Nelson has announced that he is stepping away from his work commitments for the time being after being advised to undergo further medical tests following a routine health check-up.
The 62-year-old radio personality shared the update with fans on social media, revealing that he had been absent from his regular radio shows this week because he is focusing on his health and recovery.
Nelson explained that after a routine medical examination, doctors recommended additional tests, prompting him to take some time off. While he did not reveal the nature of his health condition, he stressed the importance of avoiding speculation and said his priority is getting back to full health.”I’m concentrating on getting better, being back to 100% me, and getting back behind the mic and the decks,” he said.
The announcement comes just months after Nelson celebrated 30 years with the BBC. Earlier this week, he was also honoured with a special award recognizing his outstanding contribution to broadcasting across radio and television.
