Cristiano Ronaldo tops Forbes rich list as Messi, LeBron and Canelo follow behind

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again secured the top spot as the world’s highest-paid athlete after reportedly earning a massive $300 million within the last year.

According to the latest Forbes rankings, the Al Nassr superstar made most of his earnings through football, while sponsorship deals, endorsements and personal business ventures added significantly to his income.

The report also highlighted how athletes above the age of 35 continue to dominate financially, with Lionel Messi, LeBron James and boxing star Canelo Álvarez joining Ronaldo at the top of the list.

Messi reportedly earned $140 million through football and commercial partnerships following his move to Inter Miami CF, while LeBron continued to build his fortune through investments, endorsements and media projects.

Japanese baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani also made the rankings after generating huge income from endorsement deals with several global brands.Other stars on the rich list include Stephen Curry, Karim Benzema, Kevin Durant and Lewis Hamilton.

The rankings reflect how modern athletes now earn enormous amounts not only from sports but also from branding, sponsorships and global business opportunities.
