Content creator Jarvis has responded to singer Ycee after he made comments about her partner, Peller, during a recent podcast appearance.

While discussing the declining value placed on education and intelligence in Nigeria, Ycee criticized what he described as “Peller culture.” He argued that social media is increasingly rewarding outrageous content over academic achievement, saying that people are beginning to believe they can become successful simply by posting shocking or controversial videos online.

Although he clarified that he had nothing personal against Peller, Ycee said that celebrating such content creators could encourage more people to chase internet fame instead of education.Jarvis, however, disagreed with his remarks.

In a video shared on social media, she argued that many young Nigerians turned to digital content creation because of the country’s lack of job opportunities.

According to her, blaming content creators is unfair when many graduates struggle to find employment.”I’m a graduate,” she said. “If there were enough jobs, many people wouldn’t have to rely on social media to make a living. Instead of criticizing us, direct those concerns to the government.”She also defended her work with Peller, stressing that creating entertaining content does not mean they are uneducated or unintelligent.Jarvis added that everyone has their own style of content and that making people laugh while earning an honest income should not be looked down upon.
