Cristhian Stuani came off the bench to rescue Girona with a superb equaliser as they fought back from behind to draw 1-1 against Real Sociedad in a massive relegation scrap.

They now sit one point and three places above the relegation zone, though the battle at the bottom remains incredibly tight. The result also means Real Sociedad have now gone six LaLiga games without a win.A valuable point for Girona in their fight to stay up, and another reminder of how important the veteran Stuani can still be.
