Nollywood actress Sophia Chisom, popularly known as Soso, has revealed that she does not use her tongue during kissing scenes in movies because she sees it strictly as part of the job.
Speaking during an interview, the actress explained that onscreen kisses are meant to look believable for viewers and not for personal enjoyment.
According to her, she is always careful during such scenes and avoids exchanging saliva with colleagues while filming.
Soso stated that she usually keeps her teeth closed and relies only on lip contact during kissing scenes, adding that professionalism should always come first in the movie industry.
The actress also reacted to comments from some actors who claimed they had never experienced a “good kiss” while acting in movies.
She described such statements as strange, insisting that actors are not expected to derive pleasure from romantic scenes because it is simply part of their work.
Soso’s comments come after some Nollywood actors, including Saga Adeolu, opened up about their experiences with onscreen kissing and romance in the entertainment industry.
