Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata has reacted to the latest Black Stars squad announcement, expressing surprise over the absence of some players he believes deserve a spot in the team.
The singer shared his thoughts after Ghana released its 28-man squad for the upcoming international friendly against Wales.
According to him, the list feels incomplete without players like Joseph Paintsil, Felix Afena-Gyan and Derrick Köhn.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Kofi Kinaata suggested he believes there could still be changes to the squad before the final team is confirmed.“I’m not sure this is the final list, though 90% of them will make it… waiting for the final list with Paintsil, Afena Gyan & Kohn. Medaase!” he wrote.
His reaction has added to the growing conversations among football fans and pundits, many of whom have also questioned the omission of some players ahead of Ghana’s clash with Wales.
The Black Stars are set to face Wales national football team on June 2 as part of preparations for upcoming international competitions.
