Nigerian singer Spyro has opened up about what he believes is one of the major reasons some entertainers struggle financially despite earning huge sums of money.
Speaking during a recent performance, the “Who’s Your Guy” crooner claimed that several artists squandered their early success by spending excessively on parties, luxury lifestyles, and relationships instead of making long-term investments.
According to Spyro, enjoying life and taking care of loved ones is important, but financial discipline should always come first. He encouraged men to focus on saving and investing rather than spending recklessly to impress others.
The singer alleged that some of his colleagues spent their first major earnings on extravagant parties and frequent trips to South Africa, eventually running into financial difficulties.Reflecting on his own journey, Spyro said he deliberately chose a different path.
Rather than getting carried away by fame and attention, he remained focused on building his music career and investing wisely.He also revealed that after becoming successful, several women reached out to him on social media, including some who offered to sponsor luxury vacations abroad. However, he said he turned down such offers to avoid distractions and stay committed to his goals.
Spyro maintained that discipline, smart financial decisions, and staying focused on his purpose have helped him maintain stability and grow his career over the years.
