Popular TikTok creator Peller has responded to rapper Ycee after the singer criticized his style of content during a recent podcast interview.Ycee had expressed concern over what he called “Peller culture,” arguing that Nigeria is increasingly celebrating outrageous online content instead of intelligence and academic excellence.
He suggested that rewarding such content could encourage more young people to chase internet fame rather than focus on education.Reacting in a video shared on social media, Peller accused the rapper of unnecessarily mentioning his name while making his point.
He described Ycee as a “very anyhow OG,” saying an older and more experienced person should be able to express an opinion without calling out individuals.”The same ‘olodo uprising’ you’re talking about to promote your message.
Very anyhow OG. If you’re an elderly person, respect yourself. Must you mention names? You’re also an illiterate because someone with wisdom should be able to make a point without dragging anyone into it,” Peller said.
The exchange has sparked widespread reactions online, with fans divided over Ycee’s criticism of social media content and Peller’s response.
