Kumchacha, dressed in a blue suit, was seen standing at the edge of floodwaters that had filled his church compound. Pews, musical instruments, and other church property were partially submerged.
He explained that heavy rainfall over the past two days had caused a nearby drain to overflow, sending water directly into the church premises in Accra. The flooding, he said, began overnight and worsened through the morning, leaving the auditorium unusable.

Kumchacha said hundreds of congregants attend his midweek and Sunday services, many of whom travel from surrounding communities. With the church flooded, services have been disrupted and some members are unable to gather safely.
He noted that church equipment, including sound systems and musical instruments stored at ground level, had been damaged by the rising water.
