Nigerian content creator and skit maker Peller has claimed that some of the dollar notes sprayed on him during his recent wedding to Jarvis were fake.Speaking in a video shared online, Peller said he visited the bank to sort through the money he received during the celebration.
According to him, the Nigerian naira notes were confirmed to be genuine, but he later discovered that some of the dollar bills were counterfeit.
He explained that he could recognize many of the guests who gave him genuine cash and appreciated their generosity. However, he expressed disappointment that others allegedly sprayed him with fake dollar notes.
Peller said he only realized the problem after returning home. Feeling excited about the gifts, he used the money while recording a video before discovering that some of the dollar bills were not authentic.”I went to the bank, and the Nigerian money was genuine. A lot of people gave me naira, and I truly appreciate them. But when I got home, I found out that some of the dollars were fake. I even used the money to make a video before realizing what had happened,” he said.Expressing his frustration, Peller questioned why anyone would choose to spray fake money at a wedding, saying the experience left him disappointed.
