Nigerian music star Tems has been announced as one of the headline performers at the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, joining an impressive lineup of world-renowned artists.
The highly anticipated ceremony, scheduled for June 18, will be streamed live across the globe as part of the official launch of the historic center.
Tems stands out as the only Nigerian artist selected to perform at the event, marking another significant achievement in her rapidly growing international career.
She will perform alongside legendary names such as Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Christina Aguilera, Common, The Roots, Marc Anthony, Eddie Vedder, and U2 guitarist The Edge.
Actress and producer Marsai Martin is also expected to take part in the celebration.Organizers describe the opening ceremony as a landmark event focused on democracy, culture, leadership, and community impact.
The festivities will take place at the center’s John Lewis Plaza and continue through the Juneteenth weekend.
