Content creator and streamer Carter Efe has spoken openly about his relationship with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid during a recent interview.
According to Carter Efe, he still has a lot of love and respect for Wizkid’s music, style, and talent, despite feeling disappointed by the singer’s attitude towards him personally.
Speaking on the matter, Efe explained that while he deeply admires Wizkid’s craft, he feels the love and support he showed him over the years were never returned.
He said he still enjoys Wizkid’s music and remains a fan, but has issues with the singer’s personality because he expected more acknowledgment and appreciation from him.The feelings appear to be connected to Efe’s 2022 hit tribute song Machala, which he made out of genuine admiration for the Afrobeats star.
The song became a major success and helped push Carter Efe further into the spotlight, but Wizkid never publicly acknowledged either the track or the creator behind it.Efe also made it clear that creating Machala was never mainly about fame or money. According to him, the song was simply his way of showing love to an artist he truly respects.
