Kumasi-based media personality and TikToker Ama Parone has confirmed that she appears in one of two intimate videos circulating online, but has strongly denied any involvement in the second clip.
In a public statement released on July 26, 2026, Parone said the video that features her is “a part of my past — a past I am not proud of” and does not represent who she is today
“I was younger, naive, and made poor choices that I deeply regret. That chapter of my life closed a long time ago. I have since grown, matured, and committed myself to becoming a woman of substance,” she stated.
The video in question surfaced alongside another clip that has also been widely shared on social media and linked to her name referring to the second footage, Parone said she had nothing to do with it and asked the public to stop associating her with it.
“That video is not me. The face of the lady in that footage is not shown, and I categorically deny any involvement. Please do not link me to a video. Do not use my name to create further false narratives. I am not the person in that footage, and I will not take responsibility for something I had no part
Parone also spoke about her “godfather,” Kumasi-based presenter Rexford Kwaku Ntim, popularly known as DJ K.A, who has been at the center of the controversy after an intimate video of him surfaced online
“I am deeply saddened that we are both going through this storm at the same time. I pray for strength for you in these troubled and hard times. You are not defined by your mistakes, and I know that the man I look up to will come out of this stronger,” she wrote
Parone thanked fans, friends and colleagues who had reached out with messages of support and prayers since the videos began circulating.
“Hurt people hurt people, and I choose to heal rather than retaliate,” she said.the statement marks the first time Parone has spoken publicly about the videos since they began trending on TikTok, X and WhatsApp in Kumasi and beyond
DJ K.A, who works with Kessben Media in Kumasi, has also been affected by the leak. The media house announced it had suspended the presenter and launched an internal investigation into the incident.in his own statement, DJ K.A apologized and took responsibility for recording the video. However, he denied that he intentionally circulated it online.
“Kessben FM yanks DJ K.A. ‘off air’ over intimate video circulated online; Investigation underway,” the station said in a release earlier this week.
The incident has sparked wider conversations online about privacy, consent, and the sharing of intimate content without permission — a growing issue among public figures in Ghana.
Parone said she is focused on moving past the incident and continuing her work as a presenter and content creator.While she acknowledged the first video, she urged the public to respect her denial regarding the second and to avoid spreading unverified claims.As of Friday, there has been no update from Kessben Media on the outcome of its investigation into DJ K.A. The station said it is reviewing its policies on staff conduct and social media use.
For Parone, the statement appears aimed at reclaiming her narrative and separating her present work from past mistakes
