Pop superstar Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit against two unidentified hackers, accusing them of stealing and leaking her unreleased songs and private studio footage after allegedly breaking into the devices of people she worked with.
According to court documents filed in Los Angeles, the hackers reportedly targeted producers, photographers, and other collaborators to gain access to unreleased music, photos, and videos. The lawsuit claims the stolen material was later sold on the dark web for large amounts of money.
The filing states that 45 of Grande’s unreleased songs were leaked in 2023 alone, adding that hundreds of her recordings have been illegally shared online since she launched her music career in 2011.Her legal team says the lawsuit aims to identify those responsible and hold them accountable for the repeated security breaches.Grande has previously spoken out against music leaks.
During a 2024 interview on the Zach Sang Show, she reacted to the online leak of the song Fantasize, saying the track had been stolen and criticizing those behind the unauthorized release.The lawsuit also outlines a series of alleged hacking incidents over the past few years. It claims that in 2025, hackers accessed a producer’s mobile device and stole unreleased masters, demos, and studio recordings linked to Grande. In another incident, they allegedly created a fake email pretending to be one of her photographers to obtain unreleased images from a digital technician.Grande argues that the leaks violated her privacy and damaged the special connection she shares with her fans. She is seeking legal action over invasion of privacy, violations of California’s computer hacking laws, and the unlawful use of her property.
Her lawyers say the repeated breaches have caused significant personal and professional harm.
The lawsuit comes just days before the release of Grande’s eighth studio album, Petal, and while she is on her Eternal Sunshine world tour, which is scheduled to reach the UK in August.The singer has also hinted that the current tour could be her final one for a while, saying she plans to give everything she has before taking a long break from touring.
