Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has opened up about the impact singer Ayra Starr has had on his life and career.
The Mavin Records boss made the comment while responding to an X user who shared an old photo of Ayra Starr and praised Don Jazzy for giving her career a major boost.
The user, @_Fabianszn, wrote that Don Jazzy had played a huge role in Ayra Starr’s journey and suggested that she might still have been teaching kindergarten children if he had not discovered her.Reacting to the post, Don Jazzy revealed that the relationship had been mutually impactful, saying Ayra Starr had also made a significant difference in his own life.
He recalled discovering the singer through one of her freestyle videos on Instagram.“I bless the day I was shown her Instagram freestyle,” he said.Don Jazzy added that Ayra Starr had been a positive influence on his life and described her as a dream artist.
Ayra Starr joined Mavin Records in 2020 after gaining attention online through her freestyles and song covers. She has since grown into one of Nigeria’s prominent young music stars.
