Award-winning Nollywood actress Linda Ejiofor has shared how she once feared her acting career had stopped progressing before her big victory at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
In a recent interview, the actress revealed that about three years ago, she felt lost professionally and began praying for a breakthrough and new opportunities.
According to Linda, things eventually changed after she landed two major film roles that completely transformed her career journey.“Three years ago, I felt like my career wasn’t moving forward anymore. I prayed to God for something new, and eventually, I got two beautiful stories that changed everything for me,” she said.
The actress also appreciated her husband, actor Ibrahim Suleiman, for standing by her during the difficult period and constantly encouraging her, even when she doubted her own performances.Linda admitted she initially struggled to believe the positive feedback she received about her acting in both projects.
Her hard work and comeback paid off at the 2026 AMVCA, where she won Best Lead Actress for The Serpent’s Gift and Best Supporting Actress for The Herd on the same night.
The double win became one of the biggest highlights of the award ceremony and marked a major milestone in her acting career.
